                                                  Media Power on Politics

             My blog is to draw attention to the views of journalists and political leaders with in the media and how each political leaders raise awareness to issue address with in their political agenda. The main purpose of this blog is to see how the media plays an important role in society when it comes to shaping our public opinions. On this blog I will also be comparing views from political leaders and views from journalists to see the effects it has on the public.

            Most of my blog would mostly be centered on current issues such as the 2016 Presidential Elections, the U.S in world news and political concerns within the United State and other relative issue dealing with the media and politics. In one of my first blog. I focused on the candidates for the 2016 presidential election. The reason behind this post was to get you guys aware of who is running for president because many people are not aware of the candidates for the upcoming election. I also wanted to focus on this because so people could know the views on who they might be voting for. Research have shown that many people that vote does not take the time to get to know who they are voting for but go by what they hear from other people. Furthermore, it was mind bothering to know that most people go to the voting poll and circle any names or might vote for a candidate not based on his/her view but based on his/her nationality. People need to become more knowledgeable during a presidential election.  

Another thing I included on my blog was an article based on the bias of the media and its effect on society. There are many connection between the media and politics. Many politicians have use media to get their message spread all over the world. The media has shaped our minds and ideas into what they want us to see and believe. Each news station such as CNN, FOX5, CBS, and NBC has its own political views. In contrast, those that watches Fox 5 News lean more towards a conservative views while other news station are more on the liberal side. This is a clear example of how the media shapes our opinion because we as citizens tend to rely on journalist to be our eyes and ears because it is there job to track down politicians to get the information.

Although there are many connection between the media and politics, some have positive effects and some have negative effects. Another point that I focus on was the relationship between the media and the effect on society. This was one of my favorite blog because it caught my interest on the ways the media impact our lives. Like most citizen, we see the media as entertainment not as a way to pay close attention to our surroundings. The fact that the media has a huge influence on us, tell us that we are very easy to be manipulated and to believe everything the media says…..  Another reason I wanted to stay focus on this issue was the fact that us American depend on the media to for guidance and to help us understand and explain what the government do things the way they do. We as citizens also lean on the media to gathered information and to trust that they will report accurate details but that has not been the case.

Another point I will focus on in this blog is the U.S in world politics and how other countries view us just by using mass media. I wanted to blog about this because I wanted to see if the really depict everything that is really going on and see what others countries really knew exactly about what is going on. I picked this topic because the media makes us believe that all children in third world countries are less fortunate and never show us the good within those country but in reality there are also less fortunate people in America who also are homeless but the media never capture those moments. In my personal experience, being from another country, as a child I always thought there were no such thing as being homeless in America because of what the media wanted us to capture in our minds. However, after moving to the states it was clear to me that not everyone was living above middle class. Another post that would be posted on my blog are the different decisions the U.S will and has made in world politics when it comes to NATO, Capitalism, Treaties and other factors dealing with terrorism.

 Overall, the theme and design of my blog was “the power of mass media” in which have influenced us in so many ways. After creating this blog, it made me see things from a different prospective when it comes to the media. It was nerve-racking to the fact that I had to be a blogger and state my opinion on how the media plays a very influential role in society. I am still will to learn a lot from other people’s blogs and adding more to my blog. I look forward to seeing the different aspect from all the bloggers.
